Senior Spotlight: Madalyn Mills

In honor of the Farmington High School 2021 graduating class, over the next several weeks we will be highlighting a few of our outstanding seniors. These students have been nominated by Farmington Area Public Schools staff members for exhibiting hard work and pursuing their spark with passion during their time at FHS. Today’s Senior Spotlight is: Madalyn Mills!

Madalyn, who goes by Madi, was nominated for being a hard working, kind, compassionate, patient and flexible person. She has worked as a Student Aide for the past three years with Kid Connection, the District 192 after school childcare program. This year she took on the role of Instructor and leads a group of 14 students. According to Marijane Cochnauer, who is her supervisor, “Madi is truly a mentor to the students in our program and community.”

Madi is a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Volleyball team. She is also a manager for the Boys’ Volleyball team. Outside of school and work she spends time volunteering with Loaves and Fishes, the Yellow Ribbon Society, and Feed My Starving Children. She is also an active member of the 4-H club.
